Wanda Ramsey

Wanda (January) Ramsey, 94, of Orange formally of Center passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016 in Orange. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Oaklawn Memorial Park with Tim Perkins officiating. She was born April 10, 1922 in Mt. Pleasant community of Shelby County, Texas to Condy Buford and Maude Eva (Ellington) January. She became a member of the Church of Christ as a teenager and in her words, I can truly say it has been a guide, comfort and joy to me through the years. She was a member of Eastern Star - 1948-1950, Beta Sigma Phi since 1951, member of Daughters of American Revolution since 1989, member of Daughters of Republic of Texas since 1990 and she was honored to be among those listed in Notable Women of Texas copyright 1984. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Grady (Bud) Ramsey, a brother Doyle Wayne January, and a sister Reba Maxine (January) James. She is survived by: Two sons: Donald Reagan Ramsey & wife, Molly of Conroe Mark Henry Ramsey & wife, Sharon of Orange Two grandchildren: Catherine Belle Ramsey Claire Elizabeth Ramsey
