Roy Curtis Jacobs, Sr. Roy Curtis Jacobs, Sr., age 85, passed away Sunday June 4, 2017 at Green Acres Nursing Home in Center. Services will be 2p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Windham officiating. Burial will follow at West Hamilton Cemetery in Shelbyville. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5p.m. until 7p.m. at Mangum Funeral Home. He was born April 20, 1932 in Shelby County to parents, Johnny and Stella (Wilburn) Jacobs. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He worked for Bruce Hardwood Floors for 42 years. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Full Gospel Church in Shelbyville. He is preceded in death by his parents Johnny and Stella Jacobs, his wife Beatrice Denby Jacobs, brothers; James Jacobs and Vernon Jacobs, sisters; Lucille Jacobs Miller and Mary Jean Jacobs Warr & a step great granddaughter, Elizabeth Blaire Pless. He is survived by: Son: Roy C Jacobs Jr. and wife Lisa of Center Grandchildren: Lindsey Porter of Center Brent Jacobs and wife Leslie of Center Step Granddaughter: Leslie Pless of Center Great Grandchildren: Zoie and Gage Porter Christian Zane Dutton Tatum Brooke Jacobs Step Great Grandchildren: Mollie, Ryleigh and Samuel Pless Brother: Harold Jacobs and wife Dorothy of Henderson Mother of his son: Irene Jacobs of Center Numerous nieces and nephews Pallbearers: Brent Jacobs, Eddie Miller, Johnny Miller, Harold Ray Jacobs, David Hemphill and David Jacobs
