Ricky Ford

Ricky Ford, 62, of Tenaha, Texas passed away on March 2, 2022. He was born on November 3, 1959, in Rogers, Arkansas, to the late Buster Ford and Bobbie Hicks.  A private memorial will be held at a later date.

Here are the words of Ricky’s children on how much their dad meant to them: Not only was he a great husband to our mom, but he was also the best dad, Pop-Pop, and Grandpa there was.  Dad was the most selfless person I have ever met.  He made sure everyone was taken care of before he considered himself.  He gave the best advice and seemed to have the right words to say for any situation no matter what it was.  Dad has taught me everything I know.  Dad taught me how to be a family man and how to be a father.  Family was everything to dad, he made sure he passed that on to his kids, grandkids, and family.  I will be hitting your old fishing holes for you soon.  I love you, Dad.

My dad made me the man I am today. He always believed in me and pushed me to be better than him.  He’s where I learned my work ethic, and my handyman skills, and to be a father.  He was my favorite baseball coach and hunting buddy.  Words cannot describe how much I am going to miss this man, and not being able to give him a call when I have a question that only he can answer.  I love you dad.

There are absolutely no words to express the pain and heartache that I and our family feels.  I will cherish all our good moments and memories and will hold on to them forever.  Our relationship was far from what it could have been, but these last few weeks have shown me how much more of you I am than I ever believed.  I will think about you every time I move my foot to sleep, every penny I pinch, and every deer I see.  I’m proud to have made you a grandpa and I know your legacy will live on through all 9 of your Grandkids.  Until we meet again, I love you dad, love always, your daughter.

Ricky is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Teresa Broadway Ford; his sons, Jordan Ford and wife, Lainey, Bradley Ford and wife, Abigail, and Robert Christopher Ford and wife, Lindsay; daughter, Kristi Rosas and husband, Isaac; brothers, Jackie Ford and wife, Terry, Timothy Harold Ford and wife, Betty, and Phillip Ford and wife, Lori; grandchildren, Paisley Ford, Landry Ford, Maverick Ford, Molly Jean Ford, Briley Ford, Jacob Rosas, Lillyana Rosas, Macilyn Rosas, and Noah Rosas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Buster Ford; step-mother, Violet Ford; mother, Bobbie Hicks; sister-in-law, Kay Ford; mother-in-law, Peggy Broadway; and nephew, Tyler Ford.
