Peggy Jean Wagstaff Dowdy, 71, of Winona, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 at Longview Regional Hospital in Longview. Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2016 at Oaklawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Mangum Funeral Home. She was born February 17, 1945 in Orange, Texas to Austin and Melva Jean (Sanders) Wagstaff. She is preceded in death by her father, Austin Wagstaff, Husband, George A Sweat, Husband, Ernest Dowdy, 2 Grandchildren, James Mickeal Powers & Novy Makayla Powers and Brother, Ronnie Wagstaff, Sr. She is survived by: Sons: Johnny Lee Powers, Jr. & wife, Kaylynn of Avinger Kavin Lynn Powers & wife, Connie of Silsbee Mother: Jean Wagstaff of Center 8 Grandchildren 9 Great Grandchildren Brother: Ronnie Wagstaff, Jr. of Lake Charles Numerous Nieces & Nephews Pallbearers: Andrew Powers, Steve Cone, Darren Font, Ronnie Wagstaff, Jr., Jay Wagstaff and Hershel Tate
