Patsy Johnson Obituary

Patsy Ann (Ellington) Johnson, 70, of Shelbyville, Texas, passed away on February 19, 2025, in Nacogdoches, Texas.  She was born on December 25, 1954, to the late Roy Ellington and Ollie (Sigler) Ellington.

Patsy was born and raised in Shelby County.  She was one of five children. She attended East Liberty School before graduating from Shelbyville High School. She met the love of her life, Willie Johnson, and the two were married on March 31, 1989. They have shared more than 35 years together. Patsy was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She worked many years for Center Plywood. Upon retirement, Patsy was a private sitter for many in the Center area. She enjoyed going to town and visiting with people. Her sweet nature and contagious smile will be missed by those that knew her. Her outgoing personality allowed her to never meet a stranger.
