Patricia “Nikki” Diaz, 41, of Joaquin, Texas, passed away on October 12, 2024, surrounded by loved ones in Tyler, Texas, after a brief illness. She was born on October 18, 1982, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Charles Brown and Mary (Evans) Brown.
Nikki attended Joaquin High School. Her favorite hobbies were coloring, doing yard work, and spending time with family and friends. The family will miss having her at holiday gatherings. Her brother, JR, loved to see how mad he could make her. Regardless of how mad he made her, she always let it be known she loved her “baby brother” very dearly.

Nikki is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Helen Jane and Wayne Evans; paternal grandparents, Hugh and Sue Brown; grandparents, John and Betty Cunningham; aunt, Sherry Shaw; uncles, Marion Cunningham and Morris Wayne Brown.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the ICU staff at UT Health Tyler for the compassionate care shown during Nickki’s stay.
