Nelda Kay Oliver Shillings, 86, of Center, Texas, passed away on September 19, 2022, in Center, Texas. She was born on July 23, 1936, in Tenaha, Texas, to the late J.W. Oliver and Elva Forsythe Oliver.

The family is planning a service for a later date.

Nelda is survived by her children, Wendy Williams of Lufkin, Texas, Cheryl Parker of Lufkin, Texas, Leon Shillings Jr. and wife Gina of Spring, Texas; grandchildren, Ashley Whiteside of Shelbyille, Randall Mixon of Azle, Texas, Leslie Jacobs and husband Brent of Center; great-grandchildren, Baylee, Reese, and Camille Whiteside, Zane, Tatum, and Lawson Jacobs; sister, Doris Grace of Livingston; brother, John Oliver of Paxton; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Oliver, Margaret Oliver, Linda Lawler; special cousin, Mildred Baldwin; and a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Shillings Sr.; parents, J.W. and Elva Oliver; brother, Wayne Oliver; and sisters, Ruth Gandy and Winniebeth Oliver.
