Laura Winona McDonald

Laura W. McDonald, 80, of Shelbyville, Texas, passed away on January 9, 2018 in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was born on March 21, 1937 in Brown County, Texas to James McGuire and Opal (Harrison) McGuire. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Mt. Calvary Full Gospel Church, Hwy 417E off of Hwy 87S in Shelbyville, Texas with Bro. Don Windham officiating.

Laura enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers play baseball. She found great joy in spending time with her family. Laura was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time outdoors working in her beautiful flower gardens. Laura was a member of Mt. Calvary Full Gospel Church in Shelbyville and loved her church dearly.

She is survived daughters, Rita McAnally and husband, Gary of New Summerfield, Texas, Jeanine Tagg and husband, Howard of Lindale, Texas; son, James McDonald and wife, Melinda of Shelbyville, Texas; sisters, Iola Hicks, Margaret McGuire, Pat Richard, Eulene Hughes, Jo Segura; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly.

Laura is preceded in death by her loving husband, J G McDonald, and her parents.
