Laura Lea Krieg, 81, of Joaquin, Texas, passed away on May 22, 2023, in Joaquin, Texas. She was born on March 14, 1942, in La Port, Indiana, to the late Jacob Floyd Newcomer and Edith Agnes Newcomer.
Laura was born and raised in La Port, Indiana. She graduated from Penn High School. She met the love of her life, Wayne E. Krieg, and the two were married in 1960. They had 4 wonderful children. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and spending time with family. She loved to travel and has seen many beautiful places within the States. She loved the outdoors, especially working in her flower gardens.
She is survived by her son, Ty Allen Krieg of Huxley; daughters, La Mona Niver and husband David of Palmetto, Florida, Kathi Morey and husband Roy of Huxley; sister, Mary Schneider and husband Don of Indiana; 3 grandchildren, Caleb Krieg, Lori Landsperger and husband Christopher, Davie Niver; 2 great grandchildren, Lena Landsparger, Leah Landsparger; and a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly.
Laura is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne E. Krieg; parents, Jacob and Edith Newcomer; and son, Christopher Robert Krieg.
