Katharine McGee

Katharine McGee, 92, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away on September 19, 2022, in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was born on February 10, 1930, in Benton, Louisiana, to Robert Marion Chambliss and Nettie Ora Estes. 

Graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Strong Cemetery, Huxley, with Bro. Levard Swindle officiating. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 9:30AM – 10:30AM at Mangum Funeral Home. 

Katharine is survived by her daughters, Betty Gail Scaife and husband Mike, Sheila Pat Parker; son, Bradley Kevin McGee and wife Susan; sister, Lois Hass; and a host of family that will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Robert Venice “Pat” McGee; parents, Robert and Nettie Chambliss; son, Jerry Dean McGee; daughter, Deborah June Cockrell; sisters, Ora Lee Carroll, Sybil Heath; brothers, Thomas Arlington Chambliss, Marvin Chambliss, and Buren Chambliss.
