Jennie Ainsworth Casto, 94, of Center, Texas, formerly of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on July 18, 2024, in Center, Texas. She was born on June 22, 1930, in Powhatan, Louisiana, to the late Arthur Ransom Ainsworth and Donnie (Ingram) Ainsworth.
Graveside service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Beulah Methodist Church Cemetery, with Bro. Dean officiating.
Jennie was born and raised in Marthaville. She graduated high school and moved to New Orleans. She went to beauty school and was a beautician for over 50 years. She made her home in Shreveport with her children after becoming a beautician. She enjoyed every client that she had throughout the years. She worked at home in her shop while taking care of her three children. She was a great mother, sister, friend, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her fun, loving, compassionate, characteristics are just a few that made her special. She enjoyed outings with family and her friend, Lilah. She might make a late-night trip to the boats occasionally. She also loved reading. A book was never too far away. She owned thousands of books. She will be missed dearly by those who loved her.
