Jacob Lavigne, 88, of Center, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Nacogdoches Medical Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at New Life Church in Center with Bro. Steve Noble officiating. Visitation will be Monday, September 12, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at New Life Church in Center. Graveside Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Houston National Cemetery with military honors. He was born November 6, 1927 in Ponchatoula, La to Harvey and Wilma Lavigne. He served in the US Army during the Korean War where he was a recipient of two Purple Hearts. He was a member of the New Life Church in Center. He is preceded in death by Father, Harvey Johnson Lavigne, mother, Wilma Hoyt Lavigne, first wife, Francis Pearl Lavigne, daughter, Jessie Francis Logan, son, Jay Spencer Lavigne, Grandson, Damon Tucker. His two brothers Leon and Eugene Lavigne and sisters Jeanne Wern, Julia Elizabeth Hurst, Kevlin Lavigne Weysham and Albertine Rose Lavigne Foy He is survived by Wife: Sarah Lavigne of Center, TX, Aunt: Hazel Sanders of Holden, LA Brother: Philip Harvey Lavigne of Center, TX Son: Jason Scott Lavigne of Belgium Daughters: Rose Mary Davis Connee Ann Lavigne both of Center, TX. Grandchildren: Kimberly Tucker, Dean Tucker, Norvie Frayne, Joshua Lavigne, Mike Davis, Mary Davis, Joey Davis, Bryan Davis, Michelle Guffey and Zachary Quillen. Great grandchildren: Jacob Cruse, Tiara Williams, Jessica Tucker, Thomas Frayne, Taylor Frayne, Kayla Davis, Nicole Davis, Justin Davis, Heather Davis, Paxton Davis, Patrick Guffey, Griffin Guffey Great great grandchildren: Johnathan Cruse, Humberto Tijerina IV, Abram Dean Tijerina, Landon Thomson, Emma Thomson Numerous nieces, nephews and tons more of greats and great greats as well.
