Evelyn Baggett Vance, 84, of Orange passed away Friday, December 09, 2016 at her home. Service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel with her brother, Robert Baggett officiating. Burial will follow at Strong Cemetery in Huxley. Visitation will be one hour prior to service in Mangum Funeral Home Chapel. She was born October 17, 1932 in Houston, Texas to Otis and Grace (Spratley) Baggett. She was an housewife and homemaker, an artist, real estate agent, gallery owner & riveter during WWII and she worked for Boeing during the Apollo space program She is preceded in the death by her parents, Otis and Grace Baggett, husband, Donald Earl Vance, brother, Albert Baggett and sister, Yvonne Grey. She is survived by: 4 Children: David Lee Vance of Beaumont Theresa Lou Smith of Orange Judy Lynn Nichols & husband, Michael of Nederland Douglas Edward Vance of Orange Grandchildren: David Vance Karl Vance Burkley Smith Alleah Nichols Great Grandchildren: Christopher & Allexis Phoenix Brothers: Herbert Baggett & wife, Jan of Prescott, AZ Robert Baggett & wife, Connie of Lufkin Ollie Baggett & wife, Gloria of San Diego, CA Aunt: Audrey White of Phoenix, AZ Uncle: Huey & wife, Nancy of San Diego, CA
