Born on May 8, 1937, in Attleboro, Massachusetts, to the late Donald Lawrence Sinclair Sr. and Elizabeth Mary (Sleeper) Sinclair. Donald grew up with a deep appreciation for hard work and service. After graduating from high school, he pursued his education at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Buzzards Bay, preparing him for a life of discipline and dedication.
Donald proudly served in the United States Navy for eight years. It was during this time that he met Sandra Kay Adams. Their shared commitment to service brought them together, and they were married in 1963. Together they raised two children, Ben and Susan, and shared more than 54 years of marriage before Sandra’s passing in 2017.
A man who found joy in nature and simplicity, Donald had a lifelong passion for the outdoors. He especially loved duck hunting and fishing—activities that allowed him to connect with the natural world around him. Later in life, he took great pride in working his farm and raising cattle. His motorhome adventures across the United States were a testament to his adventurous spirit and love of travel.
Donald’s grandchildren held a special place in his heart. He was not only their grandfather but also a guiding presence—a father figure whose patience and compassion left lasting impressions on their lives.
