They raised two wonderful sons, Mark and David. Life happened and the Lord had greater plans. He married Kathryn Higginbotham McCauley and the two were enjoying life together. Don was a logger and carpenter before retiring. Once retiring you could find him spending lots of time outdoors. You could find him gardening. He enjoyed raising, training, and hunting dogs. He liked to hunt coons, hogs, and used his trained dogs to do so. Don never met a stranger. His loving, compassionate, kind heart set him apart. He loved the Lord and served him at East Hamilton Baptist Church. He served as a deacon of the church for many years. Don’s favorite times were those spent with his boys, grandchildren, and great-grandson.
