Delsia Powell, 88, of Shelbyville, Texas, passed away peacefully on

Delsia graduated from Shelbyville High School and later met her husband, Bob Powell. The couple married in 1983 and shared more than 40 wonderful years together, building a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.

Delsia had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed farming, gardening, working in her yard, fishing, and feeding the fish at the family pond. She also enjoyed spending time with friends and family playing cards and dominoes, creating many treasured memories and moments of laughter.

A devoted mother, Delsia lived her life as an example of a godly woman, demonstrating faith, love, compassion, and strength in all she did. She was a faithful member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Shelbyville, where her faith remained a guiding force throughout her life.

Above all, Delsia treasured time spent with her family. Known affectionately as "Ahma" by her beloved grandchildren, she delighted in making memories with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Some of their most treasured memories were swinging together on the front porch, sharing ice cream cones, and singing together. Those simple moments of love, laughter, and togetherness became cherished memories that will be held close in their hearts forever. Her love, guidance, warm embrace, and unwavering devotion enriched the lives of generations of her family.
