Charles (Gene) E. Carroll

Charles Eugene Carroll, 82, passed away on October 4, 2025, in Grand Prairie, Texas, surrounded by loved ones. Born on December 4, 1942, in Center, Texas, to Andrew Jesse Carroll and Doris (Bush) Carroll.

Celebration of Gene’s life will be held at 2PM on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Carroll Cemetery with Bro. Gordon Vaughn officiating.

Charles Eugene Carroll, “Gene, Daddy, Papaw” was a long-time resident of Grand Prairie and passed away peacefully at his home of 48 years where he wanted to be because his heart was there and was so lucky to be able to after surviving and living 9 years after his wife, Martha passed away in the very same house.

Gene was one of a kind husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He had a passion for engineering, photography, word views, travel and his family. He will be missed terribly, and we look forward to being reunited with him down the road.

Gene is survived by his only daughter Danielle and husband Mike, grandchildren Laura and husband Luke, and Michael and fiancé Marah. His stepdaughter Diana and husband Gary, grandchildren Kurt and wife Maria, Trevor, Katrina and husband Hugo Alex and husband Matt, Daniel and wife Karina, and stepson Willy and wife Leslie, grandchildren Adele and Wilson and great grandchildren Aaron, Ivy, William, Logan and Nikolas.

Gene is preceded in death by parents AJ Carroll and Doris Bush Carroll and his wife Martha.
