Charles Ray Cockrell

Charles Ray Cockrell, 62, of Center, Texas, passed away on April 20, 2025, in Timpson, Texas.  He was born on June 5, 1962, in Center, Texas, to the late Charles Harvey Cockrell and Jeanette (Brittain) Cockrell.  

Graveside service will be held at 2PM on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Sholar Cemetery, with Bro. Johnny Lewis officiating. 

Charles was raised in Shelby County. He graduated from Center ISD. He has lived in the Pleasant Grove Community for many years. Charles was a simple man. He never met a stranger. He enjoyed talking and visiting with everyone. He loved caring for his horses and dogs. Charles also enjoyed spending time outdoors. 

He is survived by his brother,

Charles Ray is preceded in death by his father, Charles Cockrell; grandparents, Dutch and Alice Cockrell; aunts, Mildred Brittain, Doris Cockrell.
