Carole "Gigi" Buell Obituary

Carole Ann Buell, 62, of Gladewater, Texas, passed away on August 28, 2024, surrounded by loved ones in Tyler, Texas.  She was born on December 31, 1961, in Orange, Texas.

Funeral service will be held at 2PM on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Mangum Funeral Home, 420 San Augustine St., Center, Texas. Interment will follow at East Hamilton Cemetery.

A visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1PM at Mangum Funeral Home.

Carole was raised in Orangefield. She attended Bridge City High School and Lamar University. She met the love of her life, Jeffrey Buell, in Port Arthur, Texas, while he was making a delivery at her place of employment one day. He gave her a spontaneous goodbye kiss and from there they enjoyed 31 years of marriage.  She later became a security business owner. Carole also known as “Gigi” loved her family. Gigi enjoyed precious time spent with her family and BBQing. She had two children, Michael and Andrea whom she adored. Gigi loved crafting, cooking, and sewing. Her kind, gentle heart was one that was a mother to many. Gigi was the life of the party. She enjoyed having fun with those around. Gigi was super proud to be the mother of US Marine Sgt. Michael Buell. She loved the Lord and served through her church, New Covenant Church, Longview.

She is survived by her husband,

Carole is preceded in death by Buel Rodriguez and brother, Bruce Rodriguez.

Pallbearers serving will be Michael Buell, Jason Brown, Brad Rodriguez, Cris Miller, Bryce Miller, Landon Miller, Michael Ragusa, Charlie Ragusa.

Honorary pallbearers serving will be Dudley Cox, Doyle Miller, Jason Cox, Mike Buell, Chris Buell, and members of Sam Houston Lodge No.32.
