Brenda was born and raised in Shelby County. She graduated from Center High School, class of 1979. Brenda worked for the railroad after high school and then attended Panola College where she received her nursing degree shortly after her children were born. They met while visiting the Center square one evening, as the kids did back then. The two were married at their home on November 27, 1981, and spent many wonderful years together before his passing in 2002. They raised three children together. Brenda found great joy in helping and giving to others. Her loving and compassionate nature was treasured by those who knew her. Brenda enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and bonus grandchildren, as she liked to call them.
