Alice Ford Obituary

Alice Pearl Jacobs Ford, a woman whose life was defined by deep love, quiet strength, and an unwavering devotion to her family, passed away peacefully on December 15,2025 at the age of 72, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, faith, and cherished memories.

Born on December 31, 1952, in Center, Texas, Alice was the daughter of D.H. Jacobs and Vivian Marie Jacobs. She was raised in a close-knit family where fishing, storytelling, music and love were woven into everyday life. Her family fondly remembers her stories, her laughter, and the unmistakable way she made people feel seen and deeply loved.

Alice Pearl was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jeremy Lee Ford, whom she laid to rest not long before her own passing. Bearing a grief no mother should have to know, she carried herself with grace, courage, and a tender strength that spoke volumes of her heart. Even in sorrow, her love for others never wavered.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Johnny Ford her siblings Devon Jacobs and Margaret Ann Cox; and other loved ones who welcomed her home.

Alice is survived by her children, John Steven Ford and Jennifer Ford Shahan; her sister, Marsha Beth Snider of Marshall, Texas; Grandchildren: Kristin Cheyenne Davis, Victoria Shelby Ford, John Austin Ford, Olivia Lauren Ford, Sophia Bella Shahan, John Wayne Shahan, her bonus grandchildren, Hailey, Garrett, Kaleb, Brooklynn and Grace, 9 adorable Great Grandchildren, her extended family; and many friends whose lives were forever changed by her kindness. She was a nurturer, a listener, and a steady presence—someone who loved fiercely and faithfully.

Known for her gentle spirit and deep affection for family traditions, Nana, her favorite role in life, found joy in family gatherings, ghost stories, and the simple comforts of home—like making her famous Chicken N Dumplings knowing quadruple batches were in order. If she loved you, you knew it. Her love was sincere, enduring, and freely given.

Pat, as her siblings called her, leaves behind a beautiful imprint on the hearts of all who knew her. Her life was a testament to unconditional love, resilience through loss, and the quiet power of a kind soul.

Her family asks that you honor her memory by extending kindness, visiting shut in family and friends, taking someone fishing, and loving those around you a little more deeply—just as she always did.
